COVID-19 Wedding Hair & Makeup Protocol

A Word From Our Team:

We are receiving a lot of questions around how Beauty Asylum hair & makeup is currently handling COVID-19 for current & future brides. To be helpful and forthcoming we have established a clear response on how we plan to regulate postponed & canceled weddings moving forward. We know this unprecedented time has created a great deal of stress and a lot of unknowns for everyone involved.

Beauty Asylum Brides

*If you have booked with Beauty Asylum through a contract & deposit

Our team is happy to proceed with wedding day service as planned in the event there is not an executive order in place and no one in the wedding party or attending party is exhibiting COVID-like symptoms. Please note *some stylists may not be 100% comfortable working during this time due to personal health issues or an ailment of loved ones. If a problem occurs we have a team of artists & the capacity to defer to an additional artist if your original stylist is no longer available.

Postponed Weddings

If you are considering the option to postpone your wedding we require a 90-day (or sooner) notice to prevent fees. A postponed wedding that falls within 90 days would fall under our cancellation terms and fees outlined in our contract. We reserve our stylists specifically for one individual date. We do not book additional weddings and turn away multiple inquiries. Our cancellation policy protects our stylist in the event cancellation happens with short notice and our team is not able to book another job.

Postponing after trial:

If you’ve had your trial with us we will 100% try our best to ensure you have the same artist for your new wedding date. If the BA stylist you have worked with is not available for the new wedding date we will look to pair you with a separate lead stylist to accommodate the new date. We offer the option to have an additional trial with your new stylist for the cost of service. The price included in your bridal package would be used to pay the original artist for services rendered for the first trial. The secondary pricing would compensate the new artist for the additional trial. We are offering the option to forego a new trial to help cut costs.

If you are looking to postpone to a future date: Beauty Asylum prices will adjust to the current rates listed on our website, here. If you postpone to a weekday we will be able to honor the pricing listed in your current contract.

Canceled Weddings

If you book with Beauty Asylum through contract/deposit and you have elected to cancel wedding day service (instead of postponing): In the event cancellation occurs 0-30 days before the wedding day the full amount of contracted services would be due. If the wedding has been postponed and payment is due Beauty Asylum brides are required to pay the contracted amount and this can be transferred to the new date.

If wedding cancellation happens 31-89 days before the event we require 50% of the payment for contracted services listed to be due at the time of cancellation.

Please note* the cancelation terms would not apply if there is a state-ordered mandate that would pREVENT the wedding from taking place. Each wedding event will be addressed based on the details at hand.
